For those of you out of the loop, Kyle and I have pressed pause on our residential real estate photography service to pursue other interests, as we haven’t been able to find a happy balance photographing part-time (maintaining an uber-flexible schedule to accommodate our clients) & finding other things to fully pay the bills, not to mention providing a solid foundation for the future.
Kyle has joined the United States Marine Corps, and I have headed back to school for a Masters in Therapeutic Recreation. I still have flexibility with my schedule, but my availability will be limited to shooting only barrier-free properties due to my spinal cord injury. This eliminates 99% of residential real estate, but I’m good to go with commercial properties and/or architectural work.
I’m launching a new site soon, www.realestatephotographyforum.com, which will serve as a training and community resource for real estate photographers. As time permits, I’ll post a series of articles that outline the workflow & techniques used through HomeTourHQ for creating residential real estate photos.
Even though we’re going through some changes, we’ll still be “around” to some capacity!
Cheers,
Scott
